Cognizant appoints Soma Pandey as Global Head- Talent Management

Cognizant, an American multinational information technology services and consulting company has announced the appointment of Soma Pandey as Global Head – Talent Management to drive and shape the company’s talent strategy.

Her appointment comes after Suresh Bethavandu resigned from Cognizant after a 25-year stint in October and joined Mindtree as Chief People Officer.

Soma comes with over two decades of experience in human resources. Prior to this, she has been associated with Firstsource for close to five years as CHRO and previously Soma has worked for firms such as Accenture, Randstad, Mastek, and ITC Ltd, in multiple roles.

Speaking on the appointment Becky Schmitt, Chief People Officer, Cognizant, said in a statement, “We are excited to welcome Soma to the Cognizant family at a time when we are investing in the career growth and engagement of our talent more than ever,”

Soma is an alumna of the Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) in Jamshedpur, India, and is an SHRM Senior Certified Professional.
