The decision follows a months-long nomination process and an affirmation vote by the partnership, reflecting continued confidence in his leadership.
Shetty, who took over as CEO in April 2023, has led one of Deloitte India’s strongest growth phases. During his first term, the firm’s revenue increased by 81% to ₹14,500 crore for the financial year ended May 2026, while its workforce more than doubled to over 55,000 professionals.
The reappointment is expected to provide strategic continuity as Deloitte expands its consulting, technology, AI, risk advisory and tax businesses across India and South Asia.

The firm’s sustained growth also points to continued hiring opportunities. With increasing demand for digital transformation, cloud, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and consulting services, Deloitte is likely to maintain strong recruitment across technology, business consulting, finance, tax and support functions.
The company has consistently invested in campus hiring, lateral recruitment and employee upskilling to support its expanding operations.
As CEO of Deloitte South Asia and a member of Deloitte’s Global Executive Committee, Shetty brings nearly three decades of experience leading transformation programmes across more than 40 countries.
Over the past five years, he has also helped expand Deloitte India’s consulting practice from around 2,000 professionals to more than 10,000, making it one of the fastest-growing consulting businesses in Deloitte’s global network.
He is a Fellow Member of the ICAI and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
