IndiGo Appoints Kanwal Jeet Singh Bakshi as Chief HR Officer

InterGlobe Aviation has elevated Kanwal Jeet Singh Bakshi as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective July 20, 2026. He succeeds Sukhjot S. Pasricha, who will step down after serving the airline for 8.5 years.

In his new role, Bakshi will lead IndiGo’s human resources function, overseeing talent acquisition, leadership development, employee engagement, organisational effectiveness, and people strategy to support the airline’s continued growth.
Extensive Experience
Bakshi brings more than three decades of experience in human resources, having led strategic and operational HR functions across diverse industries. Before elevation, he served as Group Head – Human Resources at InterGlobe Enterprises (IndiGo).
His career spans leadership roles at IndiGo, The Oberoi Group, Bharti Airtel, Usha International, and HMT Limited. Over the years, he has led initiatives in talent management, leadership development, organisational effectiveness, and building high-performing teams.

Bakshi holds a postgraduate qualification in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from XLRI – Xavier School of Management, along with a postgraduate degree in Physics.
