Infosys Names New Chief as Salil Parekh Steps Down

Infosys has appointed Ashiss Kumar Dash as its CEO-Designate. He will take over as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer from April 1, 2027, after the completion of Salil Parekh’s current term on March 31, 2027.

As the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Ashiss Kumar will lead Infosys’ global business, oversee strategic growth initiatives, drive AI-led innovation, and steer the company through its next phase of transformation and expansion.

Extensive Experience

Ashiss Kumar has been with Infosys for over 30 years and currently serves as Executive Vice President and Global Head – Services, Utilities, Resources, Energy & Enterprise Sustainability.

During his career, he has led several global business units and worked closely with clients across industries. He has also played a key role in the company’s work around AI, digital transformation, and sustainability.

He has represented Infosys at international forums, including the World Economic Forum and the B20, where he has spoken on topics such as technology, AI, energy transition, and sustainability.

As CEO-Designate, Ashiss Kumar will work with the current leadership team over the next few months to ensure a smooth transition before taking charge next year.

Ashiss Kumar is an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and has completed the Global Leadership Program at Stanford University.
