Jindal (India) Limited has appointed Dr. Amit Khanna as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective August 2026.

In his new role, Amit will lead the organisation’s overall People and Culture agenda, covering talent, organisational effectiveness, leadership development, employee engagement, performance, HR systems and workforce capability across its manufacturing operations.
Extensive Experience
Amit brings over 26 years of experience across human resources, talent management, organisational development and employee relations, with experience spanning steel, aviation, telecom, IT and power sectors.
Before joining Jindal (India), he spent nearly 14 years with Bangalore International Airport Limited, where he most recently served as AVP & Head HR. He also held the roles of GM & Head HR and Head – Talent Management and HR Operations.

His work covered people strategy, leadership development, succession, HR operations, workforce planning and organisational transformation.
Earlier, Amit was HR Head – Wireless Business at Reliance Communications for over two years. Before that, he spent more than three years with Bharti Airtel as Head – Talent Management, Talent Acquisition and HR Operations.
His earlier career includes nearly a year as Manager – HR at TCS, where he handled HR for the Lucknow Development Centre, and over six years with NTPC as Deputy Manager – HR, working across plant HR, industrial relations and HR operations.
Amit holds a PhD in Business Administration and Management from Dayalbagh Educational Institute and an MBA from Kurukshetra University. He also holds a BSc in Chemistry and Mathematics.
