Tata Motors Elevates Pritish K Jha as Deputy General Manager – HR

Tata Motors has elevated Pritish K Jha as Deputy General Manager – HR (Skill Development), based in Pune, where he will focus on workforce capability building.

In his new role, Pritish will lead skill development initiatives covering shop-floor readiness, DOJO and OJT-based training, skill certification, multi-skilling, apprenticeships under NAPS, training effectiveness, and future-ready manufacturing skills.
Extensive Experience
Pritish brings nearly 13 years of experience across skill development, human resources, lean manufacturing, industrial engineering, and workforce productivity. Before taking up his current role, he spent more than eight years with Tata Motors as Senior Manager – Kaizen, TQM, at the Jamshedpur plant.
His responsibilities included Kaizen programmes covering safety, quality, productivity, delivery, cost and environment, along with value stream mapping, work-content reduction and improvement initiatives across vendors, body builders and dealerships.

Earlier, Pritish worked with Mahindra & Mahindra for around one-and-a-half years as Assistant Manager – Manufacturing Engineering, where he focused on productivity, value stream mapping and work measurement.
Before that, he was with DENSO as Engineer – Total Industrial Engineering for around one-and-a-half years, working on bottleneck reduction, lead-time reduction, ergonomics, Kaizen, and employee training.
He began his career with Motherson Group as Engineer – Skill Development, working on work study, line balancing, multi-skilling, and manpower management. He also completed summer internships with Bhushan Steel & Strips.
He holds an MBA in General Management from IIM Ranchi, graduating with an 8 CGPA, and a B.Tech in Industrial and Production Engineering from AKTU.
