Triveni Turbine Ltd Appoints Shashwat K Mitra as CHRO Designate

Triveni Turbine Limited has appointed Shashwat K Mitra as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) Designate.

In this new role, he will lead Triveni Turbine’s people and culture agenda, driving people strategy, talent management, leadership development, organizational transformation, and employee engagement.

Extensive Experience

Shashwat is an experienced HR leader with a strong track record in people strategy, organizational transformation, and global talent management.

Shashwat joins Triveni Turbine after a year-long sabbatical during which he advised startups, global capability centres (GCCs), and business leaders on people, business, and transformation initiatives. He also served as a guest faculty member and Professor of Practice at institutions in India and Australia and authored the motivational non-fiction book People We Could Be.

Prior to his sabbatical, Mitra served as Vice President & Global Head of Human Resources at KPIT Technologies, where he led the people function, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility for more than 14,000 employees across 25 countries. He managed a global HR team of over 100 professionals and played a key role in driving talent and business transformation.

Earlier, he was Director of Human Resources at AppDirect, overseeing people leadership, governance, India compliance, CSR, and leadership development. He also held senior HR leadership roles at Cummins Inc., where he led HR strategy and the Global Capability Center, and at Eaton, where he established HR analytics capabilities and led global talent initiatives.

Shashwat spent nearly eight years with the Mahindra Group, leading HR transformation, talent management, and capability-building initiatives through the Mahindra Technical Academy. Beginning his career as an engineer, he later transitioned into HR leadership, building extensive expertise in organizational development, leadership, and workforce transformation.
