Afrin Noor Joins Jindal Steel as Vice President – Talent & Strategy

Jindal Steel, one of India’s leading integrated steel producers, has appointed Afrin Noor as Vice President – Talent & Strategy.

In her new role, Afrin will lead the company’s talent and people strategy, focusing on leadership development, workforce planning, organizational design, and HR initiatives that support business goals.

Extensive Experience

She joins the company with more than 23 years of experience in human resources, talent management, organizational development, and business partnering across the manufacturing and industrial sectors.

Before joining Jindal Steel, Afrin spent more than 16 years at Honeywell, where she held several senior HR leadership roles in India and the Asia-Pacific region.

Most recently, she served as HR Director – Honeywell Building Automation India, ASEAN and East Asia, leading HR for a business with more than 3,000 employees across nine countries. She was responsible for HR strategy, talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, and organization development.

Earlier at Honeywell, Afrin served as HR Director for Honeywell Building Technologies India, HR Leader for Honeywell Buildings & Safety and Productivity Solutions India, and HR Leader for the Security and Fire business across Asia-Pacific. During these roles, she worked on recruitment, performance management, learning and development, organizational design, and employee engagement.

Before Honeywell, Afrin spent over seven years at Tata Steel, where she handled HR and industrial relations responsibilities across recruitment, training, performance management, workforce planning, and employee relations. She also supported manpower planning and HR processes for new manufacturing units.

Afrin holds a Master’s degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Honours from Patna Women’s College.
