ZOOM Communications Appoints Seema Bangia as Chief People Officer

ZOOM Communications has appointed seasoned human resources leader Seema Bangia as its Chief People Officer (CPO).

In her new role, she will lead the company’s people strategy, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives while overseeing leadership hiring, talent development, performance management, employee engagement, and governance.

Seema will also be responsible for strengthening compliance with ethics and the company’s code of conduct.

Extensive Experience

Seema joins ZOOM Communications after serving as an HR advisor and leadership coach through her consulting firm, Leading Edge-People Consulting, where she partnered with organizations on leadership, culture, governance, and organizational development.

She brings more than three decades of experience across Indian and multinational companies, including Mahindra Group, Carlsberg India, ZTE Telecom, Canon, Sony India, Motorola, Nestlé, and AT&T/Lucent Technologies.

Prior to her consulting stint, Seema spent nearly 12 years with Mahindra Aerospace & Defence, including almost three years as Vice President & Chief People Officer and Board Director.

During her tenure, she led strategic HR initiatives focused on employee engagement, talent management, succession planning, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, and organizational transformation across multiple businesses and joint ventures.

Earlier in her career, she held senior HR leadership roles at Carlsberg India, ZTE Telecom, Canon India, and Sony India, where she led initiatives in performance management, competency development, compensation, change management, and HR process transformation.

An MCA-certified Independent Director with expertise in ESG and Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR), Seema is also an ICF-ACC certified leadership coach.
