Alkem Laboratories Limited, a leading Indian pharmaceutical company, has appointed Abhijeet Jain as Senior Vice President – Human Resources.

In his new role, Abhijeet will provide strategic HR leadership, aligning people strategy with business priorities while strengthening organisational capabilities, leadership effectiveness and workforce performance across Alkem’s operations.
Extensive Experience
Abhijeet joins Alkem with nearly three decades of leadership experience spanning Human Resources, Industrial Relations, manufacturing operations, corporate HR and business strategy.
Before joining Alkem Laboratories, Abhijeet served as Senior Vice President – Human Resources at UltraTech Cement, where he was responsible for HR, Industrial Relations, administration, CSR, legal, land management, occupational health centres and community development initiatives across multiple manufacturing locations.

He spent over five years with UltraTech Cement, progressing through senior HR leadership positions including Functional Head – HR and Vice President, before taking charge as Senior Vice President – HR.
Earlier, Abhijeet spent more than five years with Wockhardt, where he served as Senior General Manager & Head HR and General Manager & Head HR.
At Wockhardt, he led HR for a national manufacturing footprint covering 10 manufacturing plants and an R&D centre, with responsibilities across talent acquisition, employee engagement, learning and development, industrial relations and statutory compliance.
His earlier career includes leadership roles at TAFE – Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited, Tata Advanced Systems, Pfizer, ABB, Rico Auto Industries, UFlex, FLEX Industries and Aksh Optifibre.

He began his career in the HR and training domain in the 1990s.
Abhijeet holds a PG Diploma in Human Resource Development from the All India Institute of Management Studies, Chennai, and has completed HR Strategy & Leadership from XLRI Jamshedpur.
