Avante Spaces Appoints George Verghese as Managing Director

Avante Spaces Limited has appointed George Verghese as Managing Director, effective September 18, 2026, adding the role to his existing responsibility as Managing Director of Kirloskar Industries Limited (KIL).

The appointment was approved by the Board of Directors of Avante Spaces at its meeting held on September 18, 2026. His term will continue until May 19, 2030, subject to the applicable approvals.

Additional Responsibility at Avante Spaces

George has been serving as Managing Director of Kirloskar Industries since May 2025. KIL’s board had appointed him for a five-year term, and the appointment was subsequently approved by shareholders.

At Avante Spaces, he will take on the additional responsibility while continuing in his current role at KIL. According to the company, his experience across business strategy, operations, HR, marketing and organisational development will support his new role.

Rahul Kirloskar, Chairman of the Board at Avante Spaces, said George has worked across multiple Kirloskar Group companies for more than five years and has contributed to areas including business strategy, operational execution, HR, marketing and organisational culture.

Experience Across Business and HR

George joined the Kirloskar Group in April 2021 as Vice President – Group HR. He later served as CHRO and Chief of Staff at Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited, where he was part of the leadership team involved in the company’s business turnaround.

Before joining the Kirloskar Group, George held leadership roles at organisations including Dell, Reliance Communications, UST Global and Cummins. His experience spans business operations, human resources, business strategy, marketing and branding.

He holds a Master’s degree in Management from XLRI Jamshedpur and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the College of Engineering, Munnar.
