Fine Organic Industries Appoints Shalmali Sharma as GM-HR

Fine Organic Industries Limited has appointed Shalmali Sharma as General Manager – Human Resources. She took charge of the role in June 2026, in Mumbai.

In her new role, Shalmali will lead HR strategy, governance, people operations and organisation-wide talent initiatives. She will oversee around 1,000 employees across two offices, one R&D centre and eight manufacturing sites, with six reportees.

Extensive Experience

Before joining Fine Organic Industries, Shalmali was General Manager – Human Resources at Shalimar Paints, where she worked for one year. She handled HR strategy, hiring governance, workforce planning, performance management and HR analytics.

Earlier, she spent three years with Calibre Chemicals, progressing from HR Manager to Assistant General Manager – HR. Her responsibilities included talent acquisition, workforce planning, HR policies, employee welfare, performance management, succession planning and employee engagement.

Shalmali was Senior Manager – HRBP at MODISON for one year, handling talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, workforce planning and statutory compliance.

Before this, she spent nearly five years at ideaForge, progressing from Assistant Manager – HR to HR Manager. She worked across hiring, performance management, training, rewards and workforce planning.

She began her career with Marathon Realty as Assistant Manager – Human Resources and earlier worked in operations at Hector & Streak Consulting.

She holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from ICFAI University and a BCom in Industrial Psychology and Export Marketing from V G Vaze Kelkar College.
