IDFC FIRST Bank Appoints Pankaj Singh as Chief HR Officer

IDFC FIRST Bank has elevated Pankaj Singh as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective May 2026, after more than seven years with the bank.

As CHRO, Pankaj will oversee the bank’s human resources function and people-related initiatives across its businesses. He will also continue to support people matters across retail banking, customer experience and operations.
Extensive Experience
Pankaj brings more than 24 years of rich HR experience across banking and financial services, with expertise in human resources, talent management, employee engagement, HR business partnering and performance management.

According to his LinkedIn profile, he joined IDFC FIRST Bank in July 2019 as Head – HR, Retail Assets. In April 2022, he took charge as Head – HR, Retail Banking, Customer Experience and Operations, a role he held until his elevation as CHRO in May 2026.
Before joining IDFC FIRST Bank, Pankaj was Head – Human Resources at Indiabulls Consumer Finance from September 2017 to July 2019.
He spent six years with Capital First, from October 2011 to September 2017, where he held roles including Head – Talent Management and Head – Employee Engagement & HRBP.
Earlier, Pankaj worked with Royal Bank of Scotland as Manager – Human Resources from November 2010 to October 2011.
He spent over eight years with Standard Chartered Bank, holding roles in HR, performance management and operational risk between May 2002 and November 2010.

Pankaj holds an MHRDM from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS).
