JSW Energy Elevates Shalu Sood as Vice President Corporate HR

JSW Energy has elevated Shalu Sood to Vice President – Corporate HR, Talent & Strategic Initiatives, expanding her responsibilities across corporate HR and talent initiatives.

In her new role, Shalu will work across corporate HR, talent, organisational development and strategic initiatives. She previously served as Head – Corporate HR, Talent & Strategic Initiatives at JSW Energy.

Extensive Experience

Shalu joined JSW Energy in 2021 and has spent nearly five years with the company. Before her current role, she served as Head – Corporate HR, Talent & Strategic Initiatives.

Earlier, she was Head HR – Strategy, Organisational Development, Performance & M&A at JSW Energy. Her responsibilities included HR strategy, organisational development, performance management, talent, learning, diversity and inclusion, and HR support for M&A.

Before JSW Energy, Shalu worked with STL – Sterlite Technologies as Head of Human Resources – Network Software. She was responsible for HR for the software business and its global people agenda.

She also worked with Cadila Pharmaceuticals as AVP – Talent Management. Earlier, she spent nearly four years with Sterlite Technologies as Head – HR, Service Delivery Unit.

Her career includes HR roles at Reliance Broadcast Network as Head HR West & Corporate and Vodafone India as Senior Manager HR.

Before that, she worked with Alstom India as Senior Manager HR for more than six years, handling HR for its Noida operations and talent management initiatives.

Shalu began her career with HCL Technologies as Executive – Talent Transformation, working on organisation development, leadership programmes, training and employee communication. She also worked with Hitachi Home and Life Solutions as Management Trainee.

Shalu holds a PGDM in Human Resources from Nirma Institute of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Patna University.
