Mankind Pharma Appoints Nilesh Kulkarni as Group Head- HR

Mankind Pharma has appointed Nilesh Kulkarni as Group Head- Human Resources and Senior Management Personnel (SMP), effective June 08, 2026.

In his new role, he will play a key role in advancing the company’s people agenda, strengthening leadership capabilities, and supporting business growth through strategic talent initiatives.

Extensive Experience

Nilesh is a seasoned HR professional who brings over 26 years of experience across the pharmaceutical, healthcare, consumer health, and manufacturing sectors.

Nilesh joins Mankind Pharma from Bharat Serums and Vaccines Limited, where he served as Chief Human Resources Officer since 2020. During his tenure, he led the company’s people strategy, talent development, organizational transformation, and culture-building initiatives.

Prior to Bharat Serums, he was Director – People & Organization at Novo Nordisk India, overseeing the HR function for the diabetes care major in India. He also spent over five years with Roche, serving as HR Director for Roche Pharma India before taking on a global role in Basel, Switzerland, where he led Succession and Talent Management processes for the Roche Group.

Throughout his career, Nilesh has held several senior HR leadership positions at leading organizations, including Sanofi Pasteur, Novartis Consumer Health, Sanofi, Voltas, and The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. His expertise spans talent management, organizational development, leadership succession, workforce transformation, employee relations, and HR strategy.

He holds a Master’s in Labour Studies (HR) from Mumbai University and a Bachelor of Commerce from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University.
