Samsung India Elevates Shirish Joshi as Head- EX, ER and Compliance

Samsung India has elevated Shirish Joshi as Head – Employee Engagement, Employee Relations, Compliance and People Partner for the VD/DA Business.

In his new role, Shirish will handle employee engagement, employee relations and compliance, while also working as People Partner for Samsung India’s VD/DA business and supporting its people-related requirements.

Extensive Experience

Shirish brings nearly 26 years of HR experience across technology, retail, insurance, manufacturing and telecommunications. He has spent nearly 19 years with Samsung India, where he has worked as Director – People Partner since 2007. In this role, he has supported business teams on people-related matters.

Before joining Samsung India, Shirish worked with Future Group as Manager – HR for about two years. His experience at the retail group added to his exposure to HR operations and people management in the retail sector.

Earlier, he was Deputy Manager – HR at Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance, where he spent around one year. He also worked as Senior Executive – HR at Nitco Tiles for nearly a year, gaining experience in the building materials industry.

Shirish began his career with Supreme Telecommunications Ltd as HR Executive and worked there for about three years. His early experience covered HR responsibilities in the telecommunications sector.

He studied Human Resources at the Maharashtra Institute of Labour Studies, Mumbai University, and holds a B.Com. degree from Shivanand College, Karnatak University, Dharwad.
