Voith Group Appoints Rajashree Sengupta as Chief People Officer, India

Voith Group has appointed Rajashree Sengupta as Chief People Officer, India, to lead its human resources function and people agenda across the country and business.

In her new role, she will lead the people function in India, supporting HR priorities, employee engagement, talent development, learning, organisation development and people-related initiatives across the business, its teams and workforce operations.

Extensive Experience

Before joining Voith Group, Rajashree spent more than eight years with Stanley Black & Decker. She most recently served as Director Human Resources – India & Southeast Asia, after earlier holding the Director Human Resources – India role.

Earlier, she worked with GE in Human Resources. Before GE, she was India Head – Learning & Development at Alstom Power, working on learning and people development.

She spent more than five years with ALSTOM India in the transport sector as Director – Human Resource. Earlier, she worked with Bharti Airtel as Senior Manager – Training & Organisation Development, gaining experience in telecom.

Rajashree began her career with Samtel, where she spent around nine years as Head – Plant HR. She also worked with Hindustan Times as Senior Manager – HR. Her career spans more than 30 years across HR leadership, learning, organisation development and employee engagement.

She holds a Master’s in Social Work from Delhi School of Social Work, University of Delhi, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Zakir Husain College.
