Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, TCS now operates at work-from-office levels comparable to those seen before the global health crisis.

IT giant said that nearly 70% of its employees have returned to the office following the introduction of a new policy linking variable pay to office attendance.

Milind Lakkad, Chief of Human Resources at TCS, confirmed that the company has successfully brought back nearly the same percentage of employees to physical office spaces as in pre-pandemic times.

TCS’s journey toward pre-pandemic work levels was not without effort. Over the past 18 months, the company worked diligently to create a safe and conducive environment for employees.

Now, with over 600,000 employees, TCS considers this achievement a significant step toward business as usual.

Milind Lakkad emphasized that the company will gradually reduce its focus on tracking this metric in the coming quarters, signaling confidence in the sustainability of the current work arrangement.

Striving for Team Building and Collaboration

While remote work proved effective during the pandemic, TCS recognizes the value of in-person interactions. Working from offices fosters team building, mentoring, and a deeper organizational culture.

The company’s efforts to bring employees back to workplaces reflect its commitment to maintaining these essential aspects of work life.

A Positive Outlook

TCS’s achievement aligns with its broader vision of talent development and employee well-being.

As the company continues to adapt to changing circumstances, it remains committed to providing a safe and productive work environment for its workforce.
