Amgen India Appoints Anjali Rao as Executive Director – HR

Amgen India has appointed Anjali Rao as its new Executive Director – Human Resources, strengthening its leadership team.

In her new role, Anjali Rao will lead Amgen India’s HR strategy, focusing on talent development, employee engagement, leadership effectiveness, organizational growth, and culture transformation.

Extensive Experience

She is a seasoned HR professional who brings more than two decades of experience across the technology, healthcare, and social sectors. Before joining Amgen India in June 2026, Anjali served as Executive Director, Human Resources at Eli Lilly and Company.

She joined Lilly in 2025 after leading the People & Organisation function for India at Novartis as Country Head – People & Organisation India, where she played a key role in driving talent, culture, and organizational transformation initiatives.

Anjali is widely recognized for her extensive tenure at Intel Corporation, where she spent over 18 years in a variety of leadership roles across India and the United States.

Her most recent positions at Intel included Senior Director Human Resources, Networking and Edge Group, and Head of HR for Intel Technology India, where she supported a workforce of nearly 9,000 employees across research and development, sales, marketing, IT, and business operations.

Rao began her professional journey with the Azim Premji Foundation, where she worked in human resources and recruitment.

She holds a postgraduate degree from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and completed her undergraduate studies at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.
