Tata Power Elevates Darshana Chheda as Group Head – HR Tech, Systems & Policies

Tata Power, part of the Tata Group, has announced the elevation of Darshana Chheda as Group Head – HR Tech, Systems & Policies.

In her new role, she will lead the organization’s HR technology initiatives, SAP SuccessFactors ecosystem, and HR policy framework, supporting Tata Power’s ongoing digital transformation and people strategy agenda.

Extensive Experience

Prior to this elevation, Darshana served as Group Head – T&D HR Shared Services, where she played a key role in strengthening business partner support and optimizing shared services operations.

Over the years, she has held several critical HR positions within the company, including Human Resources Business Partner and Lead Associate – Shared Services, contributing across areas such as performance management, employee services, and HR operations.

Darshana began her career with Tata Power in 2008 as an HR Trainee, where she was responsible for campus recruitment initiatives. Following a brief stint as an HR Consultant with PHI Consulting Services, she returned to Tata Power and steadily advanced through the organization, building extensive expertise in HR systems, employee lifecycle management, and organizational processes.

An alumna of Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women’s University, where she earned a Master’s degree in Industrial Psychology, Chheda also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kishinchand Chellaram College.
