BT Group Appoints Rashi Bhatla Chatrath as Chief People Officer, India

BT Group, a leading telecommunications and digital services company, has appointed Rashi Bhatla Chatrath as Head of People & Culture, India.

In her new role, she will lead the people and culture agenda for the company’s India operations, overseeing talent strategy, leadership development, employee engagement, and organizational transformation initiatives.

Extensive Experience

Rashi brings close to two decades of experience in human resources leadership across global organizations spanning financial services, technology, and industrial sectors.

Before joining BT Group, she spent nearly 12 years with American Express, where she held multiple senior HR leadership positions. Most recently, she served as Vice President & Head – Talent, Brand & Regulatory Affairs, and Senior HR Business Partner for the company’s Global Services Group.

During her tenure at American Express, she led several strategic talent and people initiatives across India operations. She also worked as Director & Head Talent Management – India Market and HRBP for Global Finance Functions.

In addition, she briefly handled responsibilities as Director – Compensation & Benefits, India, strengthening employee rewards and performance frameworks.

Earlier in her career, she worked with GE Digital Energy as HR Head for the Digital Energy P&L. She also served as HR Business Partner at GE Capital for the GE-SBI joint venture and held HR business partnering roles at HCL Technologies, supporting global marketing, sales, technology, and corporate functions.

An alumna of FORE School of Management, Rashi earned her MBA in Human Resources and Marketing between 2004 and 2006.
