Deloitte Elevates Akshay Chauhan as Director – Human Capital Consulting

Global professional services firm Deloitte has appointed Akshay Chauhan as Director – Human Capital Consulting in its Gurugram office.

In his new role, Akshay Chauhan will lead human capital consulting initiatives, advising organizations on workforce transformation, talent strategy, rewards, organizational effectiveness, and future-ready people practices.

Extensive Experience

Akshay has been associated with Deloitte for more than five years and has steadily progressed through multiple leadership roles.

Prior to his elevation as Director in June 2026, he served as Associate Director, where he led large-scale workforce transformation and human capital initiatives for clients across industries.

His earlier roles at Deloitte included Manager – Workforce Transformation and Senior Consultant.

Before rejoining the consulting space, Akshay briefly served as Lead Rewards Partner at Flipkart and held key positions within Walmart India’s Total Rewards function.

During his tenure, he worked on compensation benchmarking, incentive design, annual rewards programs, employee benefits, recognition frameworks, and the integration of rewards policies following Walmart India’s transition to Flipkart.

His career began in technology with Tata Consultancy Services, where he worked as a Systems Engineer and ETL Developer on large-scale analytics and data integration projects.

This blend of technology and human resources expertise has enabled him to build a unique perspective on workforce transformation and organizational effectiveness.

Akshay holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management and Labour Relations from Tata Institute of Social Sciences and a B.Tech in Computer Science from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
