Suzlon Energy appoints Anjali Byce as Group CHRO, succeeds Rajendra Mehta

Suzlon Energy Limited has appointed Anjali Byce as its new Group Chief Human Resource Officer (Group CHRO), effective July 29, 2026. She succeeds Rajendra Mehta, who stepped down from the role on July 28, 2026, to pursue opportunities in the consulting space.

In her new role, she will drive Suzlon’s people & culture agenda and support the company’s next phase of growth.
The leadership transition was disclosed to the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations.
Extensive Experience
Anjali joins Suzlon with nearly 27 years of experience in human resources across manufacturing, engineering, automotive, industrial technology and financial services.

She most recently served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited (TMPVL), a role she assumed in July 2025.
Before Tata Motors, she was Group CHRO at STL (Sterlite Technologies) for more than six years, where she led the company’s people strategy during a period of business transformation and global expansion.
Earlier, she held senior HR leadership positions at SKF India, Thermax, Cummins India and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance. She began her professional career with Tata Motors as a Sales Officer before moving into human resources.
Anjali holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, with a major in HR and a minor in Marketing, from the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development.
